Cardian Matsu Syllabus’ music will always be historically important to the vapor scene (and just plain good), so don’t let anyone tell you otherwise, if they’d be out of their mind enough to even say a thing like that.

There’s such an expressive use of texture here that you didn’t see replicated much until VHS pop got a lot more popular a couple years later. Rough like late night lo-fi, yet it’s unafraid to be high energy when needed.

It’s one of those albums that really deserves a re-release like this. Favorite track: NEON NIGHT.

vuarnet When I first listened to July I was blown away. It was this crunchy vaporwave album with samples I had never heard before.

July is iconic for all the right reasons. The sample choice is wonderful, the cover art is immaculate, and the vibe fits a hot July Saturday.

8/10 Favorite track: More Chores.

BananzaSmoothly The perfect album for lounging in the sand while memories float just past the waves. A Faux-Utopian classic. Favorite track: Beach Morning ～ Underwater.
